Good Trouble Lives On protest, 10-11:30 a.m., corner of State and Oakwood, Geneseo.  Coined by civil rights icon Congressman John Lewis, “Good Trouble” is the act of coming together to take peaceful, non-violent action to challenge injustice. This year’s weekend of action will honor the legacy of the late congressman.

Davenport Good Trouble Lives On, noon-4 p.m., Vander Veer Botanical Park,  215 West Central Park Ave., Davenport. MoveOn has teamed up with Food & Water Watch to have sign-making supplies available, in addition to voter registration.

No Country for Mothers, 4-7 p.m., The Last Picture House, 325 East 2nd St., Davenport. A special screening of “No Country for Mothers,” a documentary that examines the cultural narratives and systemic barriers shape motherhood in America. Happy hour and networking at 4 p.m., film at 5 p.m., post-film discussion.

Weekday Canvassing in Davenport, 12:30-1:30 p.m., 2824 West Locust St., Suite 8A, Davenport. Everyone receives training on how to talk to voters, how to record canvassing data, and canvassing best practices.

Saturday, July 25

Rock Island County Democrats campaign kickoff, 10 a.m., 218 18th St., Rock Island.  Shifts for door knocking start at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Food & Water Watch canvassing, Hold Miller-Meeks Accountable: Talk to Our Neighbors, noon-4 p.m., starting at Lafayette Park, 700 West 4th St., Davenport. Brief training at noon. Bring a fully charged phone. Debrief at the end. No prior experience canvassing needed.

IA-CD01: Deep Canvassin' with We The Fighters, 9:30 a.m. noon. We The Fighters asks you to talk to neighbors in order to hold your member of Congress accountable. We'll train you with a proven conversation script. You'll be paired with a buddy, assigned to your home turf, and provided lunch. Location with signup.

Healthcare for All: Quad Cities, 4 p.m., Davenport Library, 6000 Eastern Ave. Iowa Citizen Action Network, Main Street Alliance, Fairness for Iowa, Health Care For America NOW, Progressive Action for the Common Good, Alliance for Retired Americans and Citizen Action Illinois will celebrate the 61st anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid.

Potluck and assembly, 11:30 a.m., Scott County Library, 200 North 6th Ave., Eldridge. Join your neighbors to discuss ongoing issues in Scott County and how we can address them. This event is facilitated by Wendy Walljasper and Brendan O'Brien, independent candidates for Scott County Board of Supervisors.

Women's Equality Day rally, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Meet at the fountain in Vander Veer Park in Davenport and then go together to line Brady Street along the park. Highlights the dangers of the proposed SAVE Act, which would  disenfranchise millions of people, especially women who changed their surname when they married.

Food & Water Watch table events: Register voters, share information about Food & Water Watch, and gather petition signatures to tell Rep. Miller-Meeks to prioritize clean water.
